The Bob Andrews Group today announced the formation of PDI Fire Protection Systems, LLC (pdifpsystems.com). The new company will focus on the design and installation of specialized fire detection, fire alarm, fire suppression, and fire extinguishing systems for rail and transit vehicles. In addition to the design and installation of these new systems, the company will also provide comprehensive inspection, testing, and maintenance services related to both new and existing fire protection systems.
With continuous changes being made in the technical and regulatory environment, as well as advances in fire protection systems and techniques, fire safety management for rolling stock remains an increasingly complex area. The development and advances of new technologies and systems means that fire protection approaches to assure both passenger safety and equipment protection need to be constantly reviewed. PDI Fire Protection Systems, LLC will provide services to private and public operators of rail, subway, light-rail, trolley, and other fixed guideway vehicles within North American Free Trade Agreement markets.
